Is there a way to control menu items from usine?

I'd like to put a big SAVE button in the IB of my workspace.  I'm using a touchscreen, and don't have easy access to the computer keyboard live.  And controlling windows menus with a touchscreen is fiddly.  Too easy to select the wrong item.
