A simple workspace for the FCB1010 midi foot switch controller.
It lets you use it for recording / playing on 3 midi tracks and 2 audio tracks.
No banks or presets used, just the 10 switches and the 2 expression pedals used.
First, adjust your midi in and audio in in the global setup using [ctrl+F5]
refer to record and to 5. Midi & key learn if you don’t remember how to do this.
Use the midi learn function ( right click ) on each switch with the FCB pedals, and faders on the right with the expression pedals .
First track is the master track , kind of remote track.
3 midi tracks ( tracks 2,3,4 ) and 2 audio tracks ( tracks 5,6 ).
Switch 1 which will let recording a midi sequence for the VSTI ( here helios II ) who is on track 2.
Switch 6 which will let you play /Mute.
On the left you’ll see also a rounded patch who lets you open the piano roll for this track and also chooses the record mode :
Recording mode:
So, to resume:
Switches 1,2,3,4,5, are used to record.
Switches 6,7,8,9,10 are used to play/Mute the tracks
On the right side the 2 expression pedals controls an effect and main volume
When you switch to Interface Builder mode , you’ll notice that only the first main patch is visible, that’s useful in a live situation.
Of course, you can use different VSTI and effect other than the ones in this example , just be careful to keep the bus name for each track :
Track 2 = midi1, Track 3= midi2, Track 4 = midi3 ( remember: bus name are not case sensitive )
Example here :I add a midi bus to the VSTI Phasm2 from Novaflash

Now, just rename this bus as midi1 for your first midi track .
